Sometime airplanes are the best place to write. ‘Sweet and Easy’ is taking shape. I think I like the line ‘they carved their halcyon highways, through nature’s poems, carved in stone’. Probably doesn’t make sense until you read the rest of the lyrics. Gives me joy, however, when I see the pictures it evokes.
‘He sees beauty in a brush and I in a needle’. Another line for the song (NOT to do with drugs). There’s much more structure to put down but the fun part for now is just throwing words onto the page while they are untamed, like a painter splattering paint on his canvas. Then I’ll eventually need to reign them in and hope the good ones didn’t get away.
