This is a sneak preview of just one of the ways to write a song for ‘Just a Fool’.

I was trying to shape a melody different to the verse while still retaining pretty much the same chords. The guitar is my go-to instrument but, as you’ll see here’, I often play simple chords on the piano as a litmus test. The reason for this is that when a song is played slower it has a chance to breathe, which means things that need reveal themselves more obviously.
