🎵 The Borderline (Official Video)

The Borderline is a song about perspective—the invisible lines that separate and connect us. Inspired by real-world contrasts, the lyrics reflect how luxury and hardship often exist side by side, challenging us to see beyond our own experiences.

The Borderline is about perspective and connection.

🎼 Creating The Sound

The song’s raw emotion called for a stripped-back arrangement. I played acoustic guitar throughout, allowing space for the lyrics to breathe. Producer Steve Hansen subtly wove in orchestration, building to a moment of optimism and release.

The arrangement is simple, allowing the lyrics to breathe.

🎥 Behind The Scenes

Three visual artists helped shape the song’s identity: Shirley Baker’s documentary photography inspired the imagery, SadBab’s evocative artwork became the cover, and Aria’s motion artistry brought the visuals to life through sand animation. Their collective vision enhances the song’s themes of transition and connection.
